Crazy Cake

Pour the following ingredients directly into an ungreased 9 x 13 cake pan:

2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
4 T. cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Using your ChopStir, thoroughly stir the following ingredients into the above mixture:

1 cup cooking oil
1 T. vinegar
1 cup cold water
1 tsp. vanilla

Bake 25 Minutes at 375 degrees. Let cool and frost with Crazy Cake Frosting (below).

Crazy Cake Frosting

Mix together 2 T. flour and 1 cup of milk and cook until thick. Refrigerate to cool Cream together in a small deep bowl (using your ChopStir):

  • 1 cup sugar (regular not powdered)
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Add above creamed mixture to cooled flour and milk mixture and beat with electric mixer until thick ( about 5 minutes). Frost cake and keep frosted cake in refrigerator.

Peach (or apple) Crisp

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

4 to 6 granny smith apples ( peeled and sliced)
or 6 large peaches ( peeled and sliced)
8 graham cracker squares ( 2 x 2 each)
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/2 cup rolled oats (or quick cooking oatmeal)
1/2 cup flour
2 tsp. Nutmeg
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted

Prepare enough apples or peaches to fill a 9 inch baking pan 3/4 full. Finely chop graham crackers with your ChopStir. Combine graham crackers, sugar, oatmeal, flour, and spices. Add butter and mix well with your ChopStir. Spoon mixture over peach or apple slices. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until apples or peaches are tender. Cool slightly and serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

Variation: To make this quicker, you can put the graham cracker mixture over peach or apple pie filling and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Makes a quick dessert in no time at all.
